A PERSONAL ATTORNEY
Michael J. Nykaza, Esq. is committed to helping his clients receive
compensation for their injuries. His depth of knowledge, his passion
for justice, and his vast experience make him especially well-qualified
to handle your case. After graduating from Loyola University with
a B.S. in Criminal Justice in 1986, Mr. Nykaza earned his law
degree from John Marshall Law School in Chicago in 1989. He was
licensed to practice in the state of Illinois that same year.
He was admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Northern
District of Illinois in 1992. He is a member of both the Illinois
Trial Lawyers Association and the American Trial Lawyers Association.
After he graduated from law school,
Mr. Nykaza initially worked as an insurance defense attorney.
In that capacity he worked closely with insurance companies
and learned how to defend a case well. He successfully tried
many cases and learned what types of defenses are typically
used by insurance companies. Then, eight years ago, Mr. Nykaza
began his own firm and switched to handling cases for plaintiffs.
Because of his past experience, he has intimate knowledge of
the kinds of defenses that will be used against his clients
and he is in the unique position of being able to prepare for
potential problems in advance. If you are looking for a lawyer
who understands both personal injury and the arguments often
put forth against personal injury victims, look no further.
Born and raised in Illinois, Mr. Nykaza currently
resides in Wilmette.
